Information

Forged in Washington, D.C.

Former soldier and medical policy consultant.

Forever a writer, gamer, and researcher.

Located in the heart of Tokyo, I’m always working on my next project while tobacco huffing in SMOKIST café with my favorite ojisans. At least once a week, one such Grandpa barters my lighter for his Hello Kitty sticker.

Studying anthropology and digital subcultures at Sophia University by day. By night, habitually strolling the uncanny crevices of Kabukicho and Nichome.

Always keeping my finger on the pulse of the gaming industry, I attended the Tokyo Game Show at every opportunity and met developers of both AAA and indie companies from around the globe.

Because I cannot re-read Moby Dick, Blood Meridian, and Notes from the Underground for the rest of my life, I’m currently reading: 12 Chairs by Ilya Ilf & Yevgeny Petrov, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. When morbid curiosity strikes again, I’ll dip back into Justine by Marquis de Sade.

When not writing, reading, or studying, I’m always gaming. Current obsessions: Beast by False Prophet, Warhammer 40k-Space Marine 2, Yakuza (RGG) Gaiden, Inscryption, and Metal Gear Solid V: TPP (Kojima loyalist since 2015).
